Weekend Guide: October 12-15
Spend the weekend in Cambridge with our top four must-see events.
Calling all football fans! You’re definitely going to want to visit the Museum of Science’s newest exhibition. Gridiron Glory now on view at the Museum of Science features 200 artifacts, one of a kind documents, and award-winning photographs all from the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s collection. Not to mention, you’ll see plenty of information about your favorite hometown team, the New England Patriots.
See it: On view until January 7
One of the best ways to see the stunning fall foliage is by boat- a riverboat that is! This weekend (and on October 28 & 28), enjoy a 90-minute cruise down the Charles River with the Charles Riverboat Company. You’ll have front row seats to the fall foliage as you cruise by MIT and Harvard, all while sipping on apple cider and chowing down on cookies and apples.
Tour it: Saturday and Sunday at noon
On Sunday afternoon, attend Harvard’s 4th Fabulous Fungi Fair at the Harvard Museum of Natural History. You’ll explore the wondrous world of fungi, molds, and yeasts found in forest, labs, and garden… and even our own homes! Fairgoers will also have the chance to investigate the museum’s vast collections as well as participate in hands-on activities.
See it: 2-4p
