Professor John Winthrop

John Winthrop (1714-1779) was the Second Hollis Professor of Mathematics and Natural Philosophy in Harvard College and was the greatest American mathematician and philosopher of his time. A fellow of the royal society lived here from 1746-1779.

Today this historical site is a residential building.
