Looking for something to do for Halloween? We suggest doing the ‘monster mash” in Cambridge, MA this year! We gathered events that are sure to put a spell on you all week long: from family friendly and crafty events to unforgettable costume parties and food focused festivites all in the Greater Boston area. 
 

HALLOWEEN EVENTS FOR ADULTS

Walter Sickert & the Army of Broken Toys Halloween Happening | October 25

Kick off your Halloween weekend under the Charles Hayden Planetarium for a night of music, an immersive performance, festive drinks and complimentary snacks.

Halloween Lip Sync Battle at Grendel’s Den | October 27

Stop by Grendel’s Den for a night of friendly competition and extravagant costumes. Grendel’s will have everything for a memorable Halloween night including jello shots, a selfie booth, body painting, and of course plenty of candy.

The Coop Halloween Festival | October 27

A free family-friendly event at the Harvard Coop for all ages! Enjoy frozen hot chocolate, fall treats, games, pumpkin decorating and face painting.

Voices Rising Monster Mash Halloween Bash | October 28

A special Halloween party perfect for the whole family! Voices Rising is a women’s chorus founded upon community, education, activism, and inclusivity. Expect a day of seasonal crafts, costume contests, treats and more.

Halloween Happenings at CambridgeSide | October 30

This free kid-friendly event includes an trick-or-treating at the Happy Halloween Hideout at CambridgeSide, plus plenty of seasonal goodies that will make for a memorable evening with the family.

HALLOWEEN CRAFTS

Halloween Pumpkin Lettering & Decorating at Albertine Press | October 27

A workshop that will teach you the basics of “fauxligraphy” and how to apply your new skills to crafting beautiful fall decor. You’ll leave with a festive and tastefully decorated pumpkin to show off to your friends and family.

FOOD & DRINK

Cambridge Brewing Company’s 11th Annual Great Pumpkin Festival | October 27

Drink to Halloween with the Cambridge Brewing Company! An afternoon of CBC beer, pumpkin beers from the around the country, and food on their beautiful patio. There are three, three-hour sessions to choose from: the first two sessions are family friendly and the third is 21+ only.

Christopher’s 2nd Annual Great Pumpkin Party! | October 29

Christopher’s is throwing a Halloween party! Purchase a ticket for an evening of pumpkin decorating, pumpkin beer flights, and your favorite Halloween tunes in Porter Square.

Bring Out the Boos! -- A Halloween Cocktail Tasting Event | October 29

THEATER & TOURS

Frankenstein at the Central Square Theater | October 4 through November 4

Welcome Halloween with the classic tale of Frankenstein at the Central Square Theater. The running time for this performance is one hour and forty-five minutes, and includes some violence and adult content.

Ghost Tour | Through November 3

Take a 90-minute tour through Harvard Square’s spookiest corners. Expert guides dressed in period costumes will share tales of ghosts of Harvard students, mourning lovers and creepy history through humor and theatrical storytelling. Appropriate for all ages.
