FESTIVAL + EAT
The first ever Local Craft Spirits Festival is happening right here in Cambridge on Saturday afternoon and we (and our tastebuds) can’t wait.
Hosted by the Sustainable Business Network and the Boston Local Food Committee, the festival will feature all of your favorites and your soon-to-favorite breweries, local spirits, artisan beverage brewers and local goodies all in one epic tasting festival.
In addition to all the fabulous drinks and local food that you’ll sample, you’ll also have the opportunity to meet the makers behind the brew. Sounds like a perfect way to spend a Saturday afternoon if you ask us.
Try it: 4-7p
One of the best ways to see the stunning fall foliage is by boat- a riverboat that is! This weekend (and on October 29 & 30), enjoy a 90-minute cruise down the Charles River with the Charles Riverboat Company. You’ll have front row seats to the fall foliage as you cruise by MIT and Harvard, all while sipping on apple cider and chowing down on cookies.
Tour it: Saturday and Sunday at noon
FOOD + FESTIVAL
Dumplings? Festival? Those are two words we can definitely get behind, especially when they are together. This Sunday, restaurants in Central Square will sell delicious dumplings for only $1 from 1p to 3p in honor of Joyce Chen. Joyce Chen was a chef and restaurant owner, entrepreneur, and all around food culture pioneer.
Eat it: 1-3p
Mark your Calendars…
One of our favorite fall traditions will be back and bigger than ever, the 52nd Annual Head of the Charles Regatta next weekend.
Next Saturday and Sunday, the Charles River will be studded with the best crew teams from around the world and the banks along both sides of the river will be filled with cheering spectators. The two-day competition is a time-honored tradition here in Cambridge and one definitely worth adding to your calendar this weekend.
