RACE

Freedom Run 5K | June 3

East Cambridge is full of fun events this weekend and this next event is definitely one of them! Join host East Cambridge Business Association and Cambridgeside for their Freedom Run – it’s the perfect Sunday Funday activity.  Participate in this 5k and then celebrate your accomplishment with a party afterward!

If running isn’t your favorite activity, the Freedom Run also includes the Glen Doherty Cup Kayak Race: Broad Canal to Lechmere Canal.  The competitive kayak/running biathlon honors US Navy Seal Glen Doherty who was one of the four Americans killed in a terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya in 2012. The kayak race begins at 8:30, followed by the road race at 9:30a.

Kayak and Run it: 8:30a and 9:30a
