If you’re looking to shake-up your work-out routine this summer, look no further than easy morning yoga at Magazine Beach Park. Join instructor Jade Sylvan for a relaxing yoga class every Saturday morning at 9a and you’ll leave feeling fresh and invigorated. The class is free, open to the public, and perfect for all experience levels.
After you’ve completed tree and child’s pose at morning yoga, head over to the Longfellow House in Harvard Square to meet some very special guests.
George and Martha Washington will return to their Cambridge headquarters on Saturday ready to answer all of your questions. During this special meet and greet, guests will be able to try on colonial clothing, play historic games on the lawn, and learn more about the historical house and its occupants.
We even heard a rumor that the Washington’s love taking “selfies.”

One of our favorite ways to stay cool during the summer is packing up our towels, putting on our swimsuits and heading out to one of Cambridge’s many water play parks or pools.
But with so many great options all throughout the city, where should one go? That’s where we come in. Check out our blog post, 5 Ways to Stay Cool this Summer, to learn all the best spots to cool down. Who knows, you could find your new favorite park in Cambridge!
FOOD + FESTIVAL
It’s almost here! It’s almost here! The 15th Annual Taste of Cambridge is next Tuesday and we (or our stomachs) can hardly wait. This year, to celebrate their fifteenth year, TOC (as the cool kids call it) is going to be bigger and better than ever before. Feast on delectable dishes from over 90 Cambridge restaurants, while celebrity DJ Rich Dimare spins all of your favorite songs. Watch bartenders from Lone Star Taco and Alden & Harlow compete in a Mocktail Contest, and vote for the restaurant you think should win the title of “Best in Taste”.
Speaking of: the best part about the event? Ticket sales benefit six Cambridge charities, all of which are doing amazing work in our community. Can it get any better than that?
So what are you waiting for? Purchase your tickets here.
In the event of rain, the Taste of Cambridge will take place on July 13th.
See it: 5:30-8:30p at Lechmere Canal Park at CambridgeSide
