Before the leaves begin to turn and the air becomes crisp, take advantage of all of the great activities happening outside in Cambridge this summer. This Saturday evening, head over to the historic Longfellow House in Harvard Square for a movie night. See the 1948 fantastical film version of Longfellow’s “The Wreck of the Hesperus” at his house!
It’s not every day you get to enjoy a movie in the same spot where a famous poet lived and worked, as well as where General George Washington had his Headquarters during the Siege of Boston.

We’re pretty lucky in Cambridge to have so many iconic and just plain cool music venues all within a couple of minutes from each other. This Saturday night, catch a concert at The Sinclair featuring The Devil’s Twins. The local band’s sound can best be described as a mix between Johnny Cash and Amy Winehouse rolled up into one, haunting, yet powerful sound.
Recognize one of the band members? If you’ve watched our Central Square in 90 Seconds video, you’ve seen one-half of the twins, Nikki. She’s the epitome of cool and is completely one-of-a-kind, just like our city. Rewatch our video Central Square in 90 Seconds here.

The Central Flea is back again this Sunday afternoon in Central Square, just in time for returning Harvard, Lesley and MIT students. We have a feeling that dorm rooms all over Cambridge will be particularly stylish this semester featuring specialty items found at the Central Flea.
Boasting vintage and antique furniture dealers, music, local food, artists and designers, and so much more, the Central Flea is a must-see event. Don’t worry if you can’t make it to this one, the Central Flea will take place on the last Sunday of every month through the end of October.
Still craving more information about the Central Flea? Don’t worry, we have everything you’ll need to know right here.
