Festival season is here in Cambridge, MA! Our festivals are unlike anything you’ve seen before. The Cambridge Science Festival continues this week, ending Sunday.
The Cambridge Science Festival is the first festival of its kind in the country (hooray for Cambridge!), taking science and curiosity to a whole new level. The ten-day city-wide event features a wide-array of STEAM related activities, lectures, debates, concerts, plays, and workshops.

There is no shortage of Cambridge Science Festival activities for adults this weekend. If you’re obsessed with superheroes (who isn’t?) this next event is calling your name.
Wear your favorite superhero costume to the MIT Museum for a night of everything and anything having to with superheroes. Join other enthusiasts for a night of lively presentations and engaging conversations with super researchers who know a bit about the gadgets, materials, and psyche of superheroes.
Please note: This event is open to superheroes 21+.

Calling all potential Junior Rangers! This Saturday, head over to the Longfellow House- Washington’s National Headquarters to earn your very own, Official Junior Ranger Badge. After you’ve successfully earned your badge through a special activity or craft, a ranger will lead you on a walking tour of Cambridge focusing on the Revolution at 1p.
FYI: This event is rain or shine, but outdoor activities are weather permitting.

It’s no secret that we love anything to do with great literature in Cambridge, MA and that includes our love for the Bard. Head into Harvard Square this weekend to celebrate William Shakespeare’s 453rd Birthday and the 10th Annual Bookish Ball.
The day is jam packed with events we know Shakespeare would love; including a birthday cake, sonnet reading, scenes performed by Cambridge Historical Tours, and more. Check out the full schedule here.

At last, you’ll get to play with your food and not get in trouble! At this free event at the Peabody Museum of Archaeology & Ethnology from 10a through noon. Taste, process, and handle new and old world ingredients from all of your favorite foods including pizza, french fries, and chocolate cake, and learn how they became staples of the American diet we enjoy today.

Mark your calendars…
Next Wednesday evening attend an exclusive Farm to Table Dinner with Chef Peter Davis at Harvard Square’s beloved Henrietta’s Table. The delicious dinner will benefit the Charles Square Winter Farmers Market, which brings fresh fruits and veggies to Cambridge every Friday from 12-6p and Sunday from 10a-3p.
Enjoy a three-course family style dinner prepared using ingredients from the savory farmers market. Not only will you enjoy dinner, each course will be paired with a Samuel Adams beer.

Time really must fly when you’re having fun because next weekend marks the 25th Harvard Arts First Festival. You’ll want to mark your calendars, gather your friends and family together, and get ready for a fun weekend full of local art. The festival celebrates Harvard's creativity from both students and faculty around the university with more than 100 live performing, literary and visual arts events.
