New Year’s Eve Celebrations in Cambridge
Say “goodbye” to 2017 and “hello” to 2018 in Cambridge with our top must-see and do events.
New Year’s Eve at Studio A4cade
Boogie on down to Central Square for a 1978 bash at Studio A4cade. The A4cade that you know and love will be transformed into a disco wonderland. Wear your grooviest attire for the costume contest, toast with complimentary bubbles at midnight, and dance along with the DJ.
Everything should sparkle on New Year’s Eve and that should include your view. One of the best views of Boston can be found at the ArtBar in the Royal Sonesta Hotel located along the Charles River in East Cambridge. Grab your favorite dining companion and enjoy a four-course prix-fixe seasonal menu with the option of a wine pairing.
Food. Drinks. Bubbles and Blues. Need we say anymore?
The Harvard Square staple Beat Brasserie will be offering an a la carte menu from 5-8p, a three-course prix-fixe menu from 9a-1p, followed by a New Year’s Eve party after 9p.
Attention all #BachelorNation members, you’ll definitely want to put this event on the top of your list. Not only is Catalyst in Kendall Square throwing an awesome New Year’s Eve buffet for both dinner and dessert, Dj Kupah James from the Bachelorette will be spinning tunes to make sure that you dance all night.
If you’re missing those days of spending New Year’s Eve at your friend’s house, Christopher’s in Porter Square has just the event for you. Starting at 10p, Christopher’s will be serving bottomless nachos (yes, you read that right BOTTOMLESS NACHOS), a rockin’ playlist, complimentary brownie bites at midnight and tons of comfort food.
New Year’s Eve should be celebrated with lots of glitter, dancing, and 70s anthems. That’s exactly what you’ll find at the Oberon’s Donkey Show. The festive show tells the story of Shakespeare’s comedy A Midsummer Night's Dream, but with a disco twist.
We may be entering into 2018, but the Le Meridien is throwing it back to the roaring 20s this New Year’s Eve. Dress in your best 20s attire for the Le Meridien’s New Year’s Eve party, Gatsby’s House in Central Square. Dance the Charleston and then stay the night in their comfy and spacious rooms.
Pagu New Year’s Eve Bash
If you’re in the mood for a low-key New Year’s Eve, but still want to have a fabulous last meal of 2017, Pagu’s New Year’s Eve Bash is the one for you. Dine on suckling pig, paella, and small bites from 9p-12a.
Pammy’s New Year’s Eve Dance Party
If there’s one thing Cambridge loves, it’s a dance party. Starting at 10:30p, ring in the new year with one of Cambridge’s newest restaurants, Pammy’s. Sip on Negronis while you dance along to the Soulelujah crew who will be bringing funk and soul!
Sazerac Ball at the Smoke Shop BBQ
If you’re going to eat before the new year begins, make it fried chicken and BBQ at the Smoke Shop. The popular Kendall Square BBQ joint will host their first annual New Year’s Eve Sazerac Ball. You’ll dance, drink sazerac, toast to 2018 with champagne, and eat barbeque all night long. Did we mention they’ll have a FRIED. CHICKEN. BUFFET. at midnight?
After you’ve toasted with friends and danced your way into the new year, you’ll definitely be ready for a delicious New Year’s Day brunch. There’s no better way to start off 2018 than with brunch from Craigie on Main. Feast on a three-course prix-fixe brunch menu to help you kick off the new year on a scrumptious note.
