Pay by Space Parking

In a majority of areas around Cambridge, there are multi-space pay stations. In these specific types of lots, each space is numbered. When you park, pay attention to the number on the space. Next, enter the space number and pay for the allotted time you wish to park.

Keep in mind that Parking Control Officers will enforce the time limit so you may get a ticket if you go over. You can use a debit card, credit card or U.S. Quarters for payment. Each pay station will list out a set of instructions for how to pay. Never keep the vehicle parked for longer than the posted time or you may receive an overtime parking violation.

There is a pay station located at Lot 2 in Harvard Square and it’s $3 per hour, 8a-6p with a two-hour maximum. $3 per hour 6p-10p with a four-hour maximum.

Passport Pay by Phone

There is an app for everything and now there's an app to make parking easier. Residents and visitors can pay for metered parking using their mobile phone or web browser. The Passport app allows the users to skip standing in line at the meter and extending their parking time from any location.

Benefits of Passport Pay by Phone:

• Continuously monitor how much time is left in your parking session
• Get mobile alerts 10 minutes before parking expires
• Extend parking time from any location

All you need to do is enter the license plate number and zone number. Then, choose the length of your stay! Easy as pie.
