Feel-Good Fun at Cambridge Crossing
For fun you’ll feel good about, “CX Summer Nights” has got you covered. At CX Summer Nights, listen to local, live music and play lawn games that support the Cambridge non-profit community. At CX Summer Nights, you can dine local, too. Cream of the crop food trucks and breweries are at this free series. The series welcomes people (and pets) of all ages. It happens every third Thursday. In July, August and September, it runs from 5:30-8:30p.m. at Cambridge Crossing (320 Morgan Avenue).
Break out of that mid-summer slump with indie rockers, Hallelujah the Hills, and beach pop band, Tipling Rock. Some beach pop may be the perfect backdrop for digging into New Deal Fish Market’s oysters. You also won’t want to miss bites from Tenoch Mexican, Bon Me, The Bacon Truck and Batch Ice Cream.
Every CX Summer Night features a “community spotlight.” July’s community spotlight is the East Cambridge Scholarship Fund. Any donation to this non-profit gets you a spin on the Wheel of Chance. You’ll have the chance to win a number of prizes from businesses across East Cambridge.
Classic soul artist, Ali McGuirk, and rapper, Oompa, take the stage in August. This month’s food trucks are Frozen Hoagies, Cravin’ Shallot, Daddy’s Bonetown Burgers and Amigos Locos Tex Mex & Cantina Food Truck. New Deal Fish Market is back, too. August’s Wheel of Chance benefits The Community Arts Center.
Say (or sing) goodbye to summer at the final event of the series. First up is the classic new age band, Other Than Boston. Then it’s Aubrey Haddard who plays a mix of indie, alternative and soul.
Indulge one last time with Roxy’s Grilled Cheese, The Pull-Up LLC, Naco Taco, Zinneken’s Waffle Truck and New Deal Fish Market. The last community spotlight on the Wheel of Chance will be announced soon.
