On July 29th, gather your friends and join us at the 5th Annual Cambridge Jazz Festival where you can listen to some of the most talented local and international jazz performers. Those with a passion for soulful music shouldn’t miss out on this inspirational event. To make sure you don't miss a beat, we gathered everything you need to know about the Cambridge Jazz Festival below.

Three words. Free. Jazz. Festival.  Need we say anymore?

Join fellow jazz lovers at Danehy Park for the 5th Annual Cambridge Jazz Festival. Expect to hear smooth and lively sounds from both local and international artists, food trucks, local vendors, and face painting.  Founded by Larry Ward and Ron Savage, the mission of the Cambridge Jazz Festival is to “entertain and inform people about the uniquely American art of jazz through exceptional live performances, and also to provide inspiration and scholarships for young musicians in our community.”

Founded by former Cambridge City Councilor Larry Ward and Chair of the Ensemble Dept. at the Berklee School of Music, Ron Savage, the Cambridge Jazz Festival has been influencing the Culture of Jazz in Cambridge for five musical years.

From 12-6p, expect to hear both international and local jazz legends all without ever having to leave the park.  This year’s festival will be headlined by three-time Grammy award-winning drummer, producer, and educator, Terri Lyne Carrington. Other musicians include Receita de Samba featuring Anna Borges and Bill Ward, Mind Flo, The Ron Savage Trio and Gabrielle Goodman.

Fun Fact: Group leader, Ron Savage from the Ron Savage Trio is also a co-founder of the Cambridge Jazz Festival!

The music-filled event will take place at Danehy Park in Cambridge, MA. This 50-acre recreational facility is located at 99 Sherman St. and is a Cambridge favorite among outdoor enthusiasts. Visitors and residents enjoy spending their afternoons in the park walking their dogs and participating in softball games.

The Cambridge Jazz Festival will take place on July 29th from 12p-6p, rain or shine. While tickets are free, the festival gladly accepts donations to support the Johnny Hodges Scholarship Fund.
