Fall Bucket List

Your complete check list for the best fall ever!

There’s no denying that once we turn the calendar to October in Cambridge something magical happens to our city.  Our leaves change colors, the air becomes crisp, and festivals fill our squares during the weekends.  Now that fall is finally here, we decided to compile a list of 15 quintessential activities that will guarantee you have the best fall yet. Whether you’re visiting Cambridge for the first time or proudly know your way around the #RedLine, here’s a couple of activities you have to do:

  • Attend Harvard Square's annual fall festival, Oktoberfest and HONK! Parade.
  • Drink a pumpkin beer at Cambridge Brewing Company with friends.
  • Wear crimson and root for Harvard Crimson Football at The Game.
  • Shop for a Halloween costume at the Garment District.
  • Cheer on rowers from near and far at the Head of the Charles Regatta.
  • Have a picnic in Harvard Yard with sandwiches from Cardullo's.
  • Shop for seasonal fall favorites like just-picked apples at a Farmer's Market.
  • Share a fall themed pie from Petsi Pies with family and friends.
  • See a scary movie at the Kendall Square Cinema and Brattle Theatre.
  • Snap a photo of the Harvard Square Turkey and share on #PictureCambridge.
  • Attend a Halloween Party at Kimpton's Hotel Marlowe.
  • Indulge in a bowl of ramen at Santouka on a crisp day.
  • Peep the fall foliage from the Cambridge Roof Garden.
  • Bring your little ghosts and goblins to Inman Square's annual Inmanween.
  • Take a Charles Riverboat Fall Foliage Tour for a different kind of view of the season.
