A Fall Bucket List You Autumn Know
New England boasts many fall activities, but Cambridge has the pick of the patch. We’re not here to suggest you carve another pumpkin—been there, done that! To have a spook-tacular gourd time, start checking off our bucket list items for fall in Cambridge.
1. Have Some Skele-fun at Cirque of the Dead
Creatures from beyond the grave fill the OBERON Theater from October 18-31 for Cirque of the Dead. Get ready for a night of never-before-seen circus acts, live music and custom cocktails. This show is for ghosts and ghouls 18 years and older.
2. Get Spooked on a Harvard Square Ghost Tour
‘Tis the season to find out what spirits may be haunting Harvard Square! If you dare, take this 90-minute, family-friendly stroll. You’ll learn, laugh and maybe even scream as you get to know the spirits in the Square.
3. Take in the Foliage on a Charles Riverboat Cruise
Escape the leaf-peeping traffic and head to the Charles River on foot! Relax on a 90-minute foliage riverboat tour with spectacular views of Boston and Cambridge. Foliage tours take place every Saturday and Sunday until November 10.
4. Taste Fall Favorites at Daily Farmers Markets
Between all the squares in Cambridge, there’s a farmers market day every day this fall! Treat yourself to lunch or stock up on yummy, local treats until November 26. We’ve got our eyes on pumpkin bread and apple buns from Hi-Rise Bread Company. Those goodies and more can be found at the Charles Square Farmers Market.
5. Raise a Glass and Get Hoppy at Salt & Olive
Start your weekend off right with a beer or wine tasting at Salt & Olive in Harvard Square. Thursday wine nights are delicious and educational, but why stop at Thursday? Friday beer tastings allow you to try local crafts and get recommendations from breweries and distributors. Both weekly tasting are free. Treat your palette to upcoming fall flavors.
