Tea and Cheese: Culture and Craftsmanship

Tea and Cheese: Culture and Craftsmanship

Broken Cup Teahouse is teaming up with Formaggio Kitchen cheesemonger Calif Trinh to present tastings and workshops on Saturday, June 24. The session will take a deep dive into five styles of cheese and five styles of tea. Attendees will get to experience the flavors of each tea and each cheese on its own as well as explore them in pairings, plus hear about the history, processing and culture behind each one. There will be something new to learn and to savor for both amateurs and connoisseurs. Individually, tea and cheese each have a long and rich history of culture and craftsmanship. Age, terroir, oxidation, seasonality and fermentation are just some of the elements that are common to the worlds of artisanal teas and cheeses, and give rise to thousands of different styles. Register online. Cancellations must be made at least 72 hours before the event start time to receive a full refund minus the Eventbrite processing fee. Unfortunately, cancellations made within 72 hours of the event start time will not be eligible for a refund.

Broken Cup Teahouse is a Cambridge-based, Asian woman-owned small business that specializes in single-origin teas from China, Taiwan and Korea, and brings people together over tea to experience beauty in a cup. Learn more on Instagram.
