Reflections: Harmonious Disarray
Visit Harvard Art Museums Friday, Mar. 22 for a student installation and a community conversation with design academics. This event culminates a series of programs under Beyond Access: A Celebration of International Day of Persons with Disabilities at Harvard. The evening in the Calderwood Courtyard will feature the students’ artworks, as well as a conversation with associate professor Sara Hendren, from Northeastern University, and John Peterson, curator of the Loeb Fellowship at the GSD. Both will respond to the works on view. This event is free and open to the public, but capacity is limited and registration is required. Please enter the museums at the 32 Quincy Street entrance to attend this program. Limited complimentary parking is available in Broadway Garage at 7 Felton Street.
A work in stillness and slowness, "ON DISPLAY HARVARD" was presented at Harvard Art Museums on December 3, 2023, in honor of International Day of Persons with Disabilities. (snobs._) and student collaborators from the Graduate School of Design (GSD) drew inspiration from that movement installation to create transformable objects titled "Reflections: Harmonious Disarray," an exploration of the relationship between time, movement and design.
