Making Studio: Root Tapestries

What if people could grow art? In this experimental two-part workshop, participants will explore pattern-making, digital fabrication, and plant development to create a self-assembled tapestry made from grass roots. Learn about tiling patterns and design a 3D-printed template for one's own tapestry. Then, assemble a template and plant the grass seeds above it. Watch the roots follow the pattern and intertwine, creating a self-woven tapestry! Participants must be available for both sessions. No prior experience necessary.
