Kokedama Workshop
During this workshop on Sunday, Feb. 5; Tuesday, Feb. 14; Friday, Feb. 17; and Saturday, Feb. 25, attendees get their hands dirty making a kokedama (Japanese for moss ball). Attendees are given an easy-care plant, such as a fern or snake plant, and then wrap the root ball in moss. An expert gardener will guide attendees through every step, providing tips and insight on how to care for the plants to help them thrive. The end result is a living piece of sculpture that can be displayed on a table or desk or hung in front of a window. Attendees will also choose a fun metal plant tag. The effect is very cool and allows plants' roots to breathe. Materials are included with registration. Purchase a guest ticket then bring a friend to work on a kokedama together. During the week of Valentine's Day, attendees also learn how to make a paper origami heart in the session. This workshop is perfect for a special night out!
