Hasty Pudding Theatricals Man and Woman of the Year 2022

The Hasty Pudding Theatricals, the oldest theatrical organization in the United States, announces Jennifer Garner as its 2022 Woman of the Year Award and Jason Bateman as the 2022 Man of the Year.

The Man of the Year festivities will take place on Thursday, Feb. 3. The Hasty Pudding Theatricals will host a celebratory roast at 6 p.m. and present him with his Pudding Pot at Farkas Hall. Afterwards, the Hasty Pudding Theatricals will perform a preview of "HPT 173: Ship Happens," the Pudding’s third-ever production featuring both men and women in the cast and HPT’s first show in two years after cancelling the show for the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Woman of the Year festivities will begin at 2:45 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 5 with Garner leading a parade through the streets of Harvard Square. Following the parade, the Hasty Pudding Theatricals will host a celebratory roast at 8 p.m., after which she will be presented with her Pudding Pot at Farkas Hall, the Hasty Pudding’s historic home in Harvard Square since 1888. This year, the Woman of the Year event and Opening Night will coincide. The Hasty Pudding Theatricals will perform "HPT 173: Ship Happens!" after the press conference.
