Crafts & Craft Beer: Suminagashi Coasters

Get into a zone of zen working with paper, water and ink by using the techniques of Suminagashi, Japanese for “floating ink,” at Studio by Garden Streets' workshop on Thursday, March 9. Suminagashi is a traditional art form from the 12th century that reveals the mesmerizing, ever-changing nature of water. Attendees will create a floating piece of art on the surface of the water and capture the swirling moments on coasters. Take advantage of local brews offered by Apponaug Brewing, while working with ink and water to create gorgeously and uniquely marbled drink coasters using the Suminagashi technique. Materials and a beer are included with registration. Please book at least 24 hours prior to the start of the event.
