Common Threads: Singing our Shared Humanity!

Common Threads: Singing our Shared Humanity!

Voices Rising's concert on Saturday, Jan. 20 reaches across divides and connects humans, both here and around the world, now and in all times. The music of "Common Threads" speaks to a responsibility to oneself and to each other. It celebrates differences and similarities, highlighting some basic human needs: a sense of home, belonging and companionship. This concert honors human connection with the earth and all its creatures and revels in human's capacity to grow, change, make mistakes and start again. In addition to regional premieres of two commissioned works, the concert features stirring anthems from folk artists Emma’s Revolution and May Erlewine as well as moving ballads from Sleeping At Last and New York City’s "October Project." During these times of unrest and strife, in the community, country and world, let Voices Rising restore faith in shared humanity. All attendees must be masked. Vaccination is encouraged but not required. Reserve tickets.
