ArtsThursdays: Year of the Dragon at the Museums

Embrace the Year of the Dragon with Harvard Museums of Science and Culture on Thursday, Feb. 29! Come with a date, come with friends or make new friends while strolling through the galleries during ArtsThursdays, a university-wide initiative supported by Harvard University Committee on the Arts.

Visit the photographic exhibition "Shehuo: Community Fire" to see the transformation of a traditional spring festival held in rural northern China. Find Chinese Zodiac animal signs in the galleries. Explore the art of traditional Chinese paper cutting with Cambridge artist Zhonghe (Elena) Li. Learn about traditional Chinese silk watercolor painting with Xiang Li, a Massachusetts-based artist. Purchase drinks at the cash bar (valid government ID required to consume alcoholic beverages). Enter a free raffle to win museum gifts and membership. This event is free and open to the public. RSVPs are encouraged, but walk-in visitors are always welcome. Free event parking is available at the 52 Oxford Street Garage.
