ArtsThursdays: AR/VR Explorations

Join Harvard Museum of Natural History and Peabody Museum of Archaeology & Ethnology for a free art and science night on Thursday, Nov. 30. Come with a date, come with friends or make new friends while learning and strolling through the galleries. Participate in engaging special activities and enter a free raffle to win museum gifts and membership. This month, explore virtual and augmented reality within the galleries. Meet geologists visualizing seismic events. Try painting in 3D space using an Oculus headset. Watch how paleontologists digitize research specimens with handheld 3D scanners. Shape landscapes and study water flow in the AR sandbox. Artisanal cocktails and mocktails by CraftHouse Bartending will be available for purchase. Valid government ID is required to consume alcoholic beverages. This event is free and open to the public. Free event parking is available at 52 Oxford Street Garage.
