ArtsThursday: The Brain and Your Senses

Join Harvard Museums of Science and Culture for a free arts and science night at Harvard Museum of Natural History and Peabody Museum of Archaeology & Ethnology on Thursday, Sept. 28! This month HMSC is partnering with Harvard’s Brain Science Initiative to explore the senses—from understanding the ability to perceive and process visual, smell, touch, sound and taste stimuli to exploring how the brain “knows” when an individual feel hungry, thirsty or excited. How does it all work? Meet Harvard scientists and students who are figuring it all out. Come with a date or friends, or make new friends while learning about the brain and strolling through the galleries. Participate in activities plus enter raffles to win museum gifts and memberships. Handcrafted cocktails and mocktails by CraftHouse Bartending will be available for purchase. Valid government ID is required to consume alcoholic beverages. Registration is encouraged, but walk-in visitors are always welcome. Free event parking is available at the 52 Oxford Street Garage.

This event is presented in collaboration with Cambridge Science Festival. ArtsThursdays is a university-wide initiative supported by Harvard University Committee on the Arts (HUCA).
