Art Talk Live: Jean (Hans) Arp and Modern Sculpture

Tuesday, Aug. 22, join Harvard Art Museums curatorial fellow Clemens Ottenhausen for a virtual art talk on modern sculpture. Sculptor Jean (Hans) Arp had a personal connection to Harvard University; he was commissioned in 1950 to create "Constellations II" (1950/58), which is now in the Busch-Reisinger Museum collection, and the Busch-Reisinger recently acquired 13 additional works by the artist. Given these connections, this presentation takes the opportunity to consider some aspects of Arp’s sculptural practice in the context of modern sculpture. Register online for the free talk.
