Art Study Center Seminar: 20th-Century Women at Harvard Art Museums
Thursday, May 18, join the staff of Harvard Art Museums' archives for a look into the experiences of women who worked and studied at the museums between 1920 and 1990. Drawing on documents, photographs and oral history recordings, this talk will explore the Fogg Museum’s and Busch-Reisinger Museum’s legacy as the premier training ground for the next generation of museum professionals. Staff will also share findings from an ongoing project to expand the names of women previously referred to only by their husbands’ names in archival descriptions. Megan Schwenke, senior archivist/records manager, and Michelle Interrante, assistant archivist, will lead this talk. Admission is free, but registration is required.
