After-School Animal Encounters: Teeming Tidepools

Each month the Harvard Museums of Science & Culture will discuss a different theme while feeding and interacting with some of the museum’s incredible animals. On Tuesday, Oct. 5, human museum staffers Javier and Ryan introduce live ocean invertebrates in a 45 minute program. This virtual event is presented by the Harvard Museum of Natural History and the Harvard Museums of Science & Culture.

Tidepools exist where the land meets the ocean. The amazingly resilient creatures that live there manage the challenges of both environments. From swimming and climbing to burrowing, animals in tidepools have adapted many behaviors to live in an ever-changing world. This event will be fun for the whole family so bring questions and a sense of wonder.
