2021 Lunar New Year Celebration
The 2021 Lunar New Year is approaching! Fo Guang Buddhist Temple Boston invites all to their weekend-long, virtual celebrations. The festivities begin on Thursday, Feb. 11 with an online incense offering, lantern lighting, a gong bell and blessing words.
Lunar New Year's Eve
Thursday, Feb. 11 at 9:00p.m.
First Day of the Chinese New Year
Friday, Feb. 12 at 10:30a.m.
Third Day of the Chinese New Year
Sunday, Feb. 14 at 10:30a.m.
The BLIA Boston chapter has organized a Chinese New Year culture performance and a red pocket lucky draw, available to stream on YouTube and Zoom.
Due to Covid-19, praying inside the temple is closed to the public; however, a small Guan Yin Bodhisattva Blessing table will be set up outside near the back of the temple. This will be available the night of Thursday, Feb. 11 through Sunday, Feb. 14 from 10:00a.m to 4:00p.m. All are welcome to pay respects to the Bodhisattva at the beginning of the Lunar New Year.
